Poole Pianist and Keyboard player Simon Page is a very talented Musician and Entertainer with a vast repertoire of melodies from the past to the present day. With his relaxing and cool jazz influenced style his easy listening music is suitable for most occasions. This includes Cocktail pianist for your Christmas party, Wedding Reception, Masonic Ladies night, Garden party, Birthday party or other family celebrations. Simon grew up during the Big Band and Swing era and loves to play this music. Many of the tunes that were written in those days have become well known standards. They were performed by many famous Artists and to their credit are still being recorded and played today. Regretfully many of these artists are no longer with us but their memory and music will live on. |
Who can forget the tunes from the Great American Songbook, the Big Band sounds of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Ted Heath, Count Basie and Duke Ellington, Vocalists such as Sinatra, Ella, Elvis, Ray Charles and many more? However, Simon will always have his favourites and these have got to be Oscar Peterson (a genious of the piano) George Shearing, Nat King Cole and Dave Brubeck. The music they performed was full of feeling, expression, melodic and yet rhythmic. Simon’s services are suitable for any occasion and he’s not expensive. He is willing to travel up to 100 miles from Poole which of course takes in most of the South East and West of the Country.
